Whereis all the money coming from re-all of the recent large placements?
Sydney - Tuesday - February 3: (RWE Aust Business News) -
Westfield (ASX:WDC) has launched an underwritten placement to raise $2.9
billion.
The group will issue 276 million securities at $10.50 each.
The proceeds will further strengthen the balance sheet through
retirement of debt and position the company for further acquisitions.
Today's capital raising will result in the group's gearing ratio
reducing by 4pc to 36pc.
Westfield expects operational segment earnings and distribution
per security for 2009 to be in the range of 94c to 97c, assuming the
proceeds from the placement are used solely to retire debt.
