That is quite surprising after Musk just said at length at Battery Day that they plan on sourcing all the lithium needed for the US productions out of Nevada clay deposits.... that they have a simple and clean process for that and have ensured the rights to large plots of land..... no mention of spod or Piedmont.
Now I am confused....
Even more so I fail to understand who will be processing the concentrate. Who is going to mill it? Tesla?
