Cat stevens muslim name is yousef islam, and i have yet to hear a better talent than this guy- his song "on the road to find out" is great and gives an idea of what he was looking for when he found islam.
The trouble with islam is that if you take it literately, in the koran it says anyone not muslim is the enemy and to be crushed or used, but also if you read the torah ( jewish) the same could be said for it as well, it classes anyone not jewish as a beast and not human, and that to kill a non jew is not really murder as you are only killing a beast.
This is the sort of trouble you get into when you have people in the 21st century following to the letter a religion that was written thousands of years ago,,, tottaly crazy- at least us athiests see it that way.
I myself belong to the church of common sense, great church, get into it.
