CEO Elon Musk took the stage near the company’s Fremont, California factory to lay out several new innovations for Tesla’s manufacturing and battery production processes. The firm announced plans to produce a $US25,000 electric vehicle in the next three years and revealed a new top-of-the-line specification for its Model S sedan.Yet the nearly three-hour event lacked some announcements sought by Wall Street analysts. Those hoping for the reveal of a million-mile battery were let down. The breakthrough “was widely expected” from the event, Wedbush analyst Dan Ives said in a note. QUOTE.
The expected announcement of a cobalt free battery became an aspiration that will possibly be proven in some years The demand for cobalt will keep growing for not just Tesla but for all the other major companies as the technology revolution explodes By 2022 the demand will be insatiable, perfect timing for COB to be in top gear IMO.
