Ya nothing really knew in this announcement for me , as I grew up in the Toronto area and know BOTH Ford's Windsor and Oakville Plants quite well.....and obviously Quebec hasn't got the Vehicle Manufacturing like that of Ontario. On the other hand Quebec has had literally ' Decades ' of research put into battery design and efficiencies .....including many failures which of course you learn by . So like I eluded to in my above post , and with the MASSIVE investment by the Federal Government ( which is to be expected as well in these COVID effected times ) , there will be substantial benefits for the Quebec Lithium and EV industries as well. They are also very very BIG on AI as well.

So whilst this is not unexpected really , it continues to have NIL effect really on the SP until the DEAL in whatever shape it's in is consummated between Quebec - NAL - and SYA. Until then , we the shareholders are really in a state of limbo and have been more or less trading in a ' un-informed ' market. Perhaps that's why they put out this ' Managing Director's Update ' for I think pretty much the FIRST time......

It does beg the question as to why the Liberal Government ( namely Joe Hockey ) let the Geelong Car Manufacturing Industry go for what amounted to a ' Paultry ' A $800 million . Small change now in light of the COVID-19 stimulus packages which are far in excess of $200 Billion !! ......with only Jobs SAVED ......and not even yet CREATED.......
