I honestly do not know why the merger with Sienna was so sought after and why they gave them such good leverage but i won't complain as i held both now only hold BD1 obviously, but there must have been something that they wanted or saw that would benefit BD1 (please no conspiracy theories!!)...... we will probably never know what that something is or was but with the benefit of time and then hindsight it may make more sense (and cents)
