Flooding in BF is complicating what is already a difficult situation in that country with over 1 million displaced by violence and over half the population (11.7 million out of 22.4 million) on the brink of starvation (classified as food insecure). Much of the country's food supply chain currently relies on NGOs like the World Food Organisation, without which the situation would be more dire. Risks are rising in BF. Due to the floods and as of 9 Sept 2020 the government of BF declared a state of national disaster which is ongoing.Esh
