I, ta for your post....Your dad demonstrably had more class than said surgeon......I have a story along the same line....Last I underwent a colonoscopy....The surgeon was a happy Scotsman....lot,s of inappropriate types of jokes....my type of bloke....anyway after said event I had to go and have another procedure CT scan (the least romantic experience of my life!!!..Mrs Woll...laughed).....Any way I was rescheduled for another colonoscopy......Thinking this would be performed by same good humoured surgeon I purchased a bottle of 15yo Dalwhinnie to give to said surgeon......but no it turned out another surgeon was to perform procedure......This good doctor when first meeting me expressed that he was put out by having to perform this procedure which according to him should have been the Scotsman "problem" (I never knew till that point that a patient was a "problem")......10 minutes later they wheel me in to theatre....Junior dr assisting prissy one asked Mr Woll Do you have any q,s for dr ## or myself dr@?......I asked" well are what was the subject of your Phd thesis....as I am a Dr....but a real one".....they both looked bewildered/bemused with WTF looks....with that I whipped out from under the sheet the Dalwhinnie and handed it to the surgeon...with the words...I trust you shall enjoy this and reflect on your day...no doubt we both would rather be fishing than this inconvenience.......I have dined out on that story all year.....Mrs Woll...told her girlfriends who laughed and were unanimous that ce, est was droll...impertinent but somewhat classy in his response to being an" inconvenient problem"....cheers to all Woll
