First pass exploration tends not to find anything, or they intersect the alteration which indicated something close. It’s a thing of patience and looking at the bigger picture. When WMC was looking for OD they were looking for SEDEX style (Zambian copper belt) mineralisation, they hit 32 m at 1% copper in the 3rd hole in never before seen altered hematite. A few holes later and they knew they had something special.
