This is an interesting discussion. We have six figures invested in the Plenti platform. At 8% return, we are watching Plenti carefully. But we are not adding any more funds to the platform, having been quite disappointed with the recent changes, as has been discussed on this forum. We are also significantly invested in La Trobe, much more so than in Plenti. In La Trobe's P2P platform, all loans are pre-funded by the company, and only then do they start offering all or parts of the loans to investors. If we understand correctly, this is a significant plus for investor security. But even the La Trobe P2P platform is showing cracks, with some interest borrowings deferred. They seem top be on top of it, though, and provide regular updates on the progress of such deferrals.

Plenti have had to move with the times. In the early days of high returns in their 5 year loans, it seemed too good to be true. We always thought that sooner or later it had to come to an end. Is it not the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics that states that in any closed system, there will always be a tendency to equalization, meaning that any severe advantage in one part of the closed system cannot be maintained, and will equalize out. This also applies in the investment world as well.
