you have to already be a shareholder to get the 1 for 5 rights issue.
i know its probably crazy thinking, but getting the placement out of the way might actually be a positive, as general negative sentiment has plagued those banks which have not raised yet.
CBA, WBC, NAB have been ok of late.
Certainly takes away the uncertainty out of the market.
