And so if the large resource stocks exposed to China and the banks languishing , this is why back then I opined that our XJO would not see a 7 in front of it for quite a long time. We should not be resting on our laurels in regards to our iron ore exports, and we have little time to diversify.
But thankfully, the gold sector is beautiful in that gold miners do not have to worry their products (i.e gold) will ever get boycott or not having demand. They just need to produce and dont have to invest anything in marketing, trials, test etc etc. And the two EV prospects VUL and EMN are based in Europe, positioning themselves to produce for Europe exclusively to meet the biggest EV market in the world, Europe. And as for the online businesses, like RBL, their business is US-centric and MMM is Europe and US-centric.
Understand the drivers for the business, we can be and will be more discerning.
While the big blue chips face headwinds, some companies can and will continue to thrive ahead over the longer term. Index watching is not relevant if one invest like a venture cap. Buy them young and stay the course.
