I attended court today
The proceedings had absolutely nothing to do with the calling of the EGM, although one attorney referred to the fact that 120 members have now voted for the EGM and he also said, significantly, that Norm Seckold is also calling for the EGM based on his 5% holding
Todays court proceedings was simply about who would pay the costs of Decembers hearing when an injunction was obtained to stop Pursell carrying out those resolutions to appoint directors
Since the "great" Melanie Leydin resigned, the Board was no longer deadlocked and so todays hearing was to dismiss those proceedings and to argue costs
After an hour of arguing ( which no doubt cost thousands in legal fees) Pursell told his lawyer to tell the court that JRV would pay everyone's costs
So again to reiterate...Todays hearing had nothing to do with the calling of an EGM although I now believe everything is now in place that the company is legally obliged to call one
