5G cannot compete with NBN’s FTTP
Telstra just offers $85 on a 5G 500MB with a minimum speed at 100Mbps up to 300Mbps.
I’m currently on a $90 FTTC 100Mbps Unlimited but I’m more than happy to get a minimum speed at 25Mbps once I get the FTTP at Jun 2021.
I know FTTP will improve the bandwidth right up to my door so I could enjoy smooth download speed with my Google Nest regardless the speed.
5 G is only designed for mobile internet and you choose higher speed because you don’t have any options.
I expect SSM will have a contract extension beyond the end of 2021 because NBN indicated that the rollout of FTTP will start at the end of June 2021
