quarterly report and tenement acquisition

    The last few comments dealt with the quarterly report and some questions about blocked out areas. A post on this forum queries as to whether there are acquisition issues with those areas.[page 7]

    First of all, a review of all releases from the time of the Norseman acquisition show the same thing: KBRL and now MAT don't own all the land- the post by u235 is correct: Kinross never owned them, so MAT doesn't own them either. They continue to belong to other entities, and they are not included in valuations or assessments[when you have your house appraised, the appraiser doesn't include the neighbor's house or yard!]

    Of much more importance in this regard is page dealing with changes in interest in mining tenements.You will note that MAT intentionally relinquished 6 tenements, presumably because they had nothing of interest on them- but received final approval on 10 others, as well as gaining 100% control of 30 more.

    these means that they actually have 40 new tenements which might lead to
    more findings.

    Since these are all listed now, you can probably call them and ask them what is going on there, rather than speculating. Viner or Sampson would know all there is to know about this. I don't know how much they can disclose however.

    Read all these things very carefully. MAT is not prone to exaggerate, so every word is probably significant.
