    Ha ...
Hockey was not there to talk to number crunchers..he was putting an arguement to the general public about the Oppostion's concerns...

Sure he may not be the most economicaly qualified but there are those {with less popular appeal} who are, and are involved with this stance.

Agree or disagree with it..the Labour party must realise that the arguement is ligatimate and stop howling it down with insults to members..imo.

When asked by Hockey ...something like and what do we do after this money is used up and what do you count amongst remaining Australian assets ???

I was astounded that Tanner was counting the HEX as a remaining asset...
Student debt..yet to be repaid..an asset to save our skins in a depression when even the most experienced will be losing jobs?
Students have another ball and chain..the responsiblity to be employed, deal with economic hardship and to repay HEX fees thus saving the nation.
I know of qualified students, now, who cant find work in their chosen fields and are working in a poorly paid unrelated field.Education is failing them and burdening them with debt that Tanner counts as the countries future income in a depression?? How in touch is that? Number crunchers must get real!!

What body is directing the Libs? Themselves and their experience and by the way not the IMF based in Washington with USA and EU having 51% vote...that directs treasury and from reports advises countries on these measures.

The more questions our government asks on our behalf, the more we are learning just who and how our policies are made. The question is ,are we strong enough to disobey IMF advise?

Hockey was clumsy but he has good old Aussie appeal and for the first time some-one is firing up our National spirit.

Sorry Rudd I may be wrong but you are so defensive and so desparate and all those G7/20 meetings that I couldnt understand may have shaped your thinking but the population needs to be involved or there will be demonstrations in the streets.
The statistics of IMF could need adjusting imo and they might stop giving Australia such a wrap but they are not in charge.

More discussion and discovery..bring it on.
