South Australia is in a unique position to lead the rest of the country with nuclear power. They could become a net power exporter to Victoria. Produce huge amounts of desalinated water for irragation and attract and support significant new industry. They have abundant local uranium and areas of low population density perfect sites for a nuclear plant. Adelaide should be Australia's first capital powered by nuclear energy and therefor the most environmantaly friendly. They could even lead the world with the manufacture of electric cars and become energy independant and relatively carbon neutral.
Just a thought.
