Something that has helped me get out of bad positions is doing it piecemeal.
I sell bit by bit until its all gone or rebounded (this bit is in my dreams usually). It seems to be easier to break that "HOLD" nexus that exerts itself psychologically when you keep part (in case of that massive upswing ...lol).
