Does anyone on the ARR thread have knowledge of charts?
I don't utilize charts as an investing tool but over the years I have been impressed by chartists on the threads I attend who have accurately predicted share price movements.
For blue chip stocks which constitute most of my portfolio I use measures as PE, NTA, Div yield, Bal Sheet ratios etc. For speccy companies like ARR where I perceive underlying value I hold for long periods ie 10years and add more if bearish phases become overdone.
Looking at the ARR chart provided by ASB Securities I see a tell tale pattern of an unprecedented spike in buying and a price rise over a few days. This combination has nearly always presaged a move to the upwards over the following months in share prices. Sometimes posters call this spike - insiders loading up. They will also state the decline on Friday was profit taking but also some argue accumulators are selling aggressively to suppress the price and buying as profit takers capitulate. I cant tell whether Fridays record 20mill went into new hands or it was churning where a few parties were selling and buying back. The very aggressive selling during the fist few hours on Friday looked suspicious although short term investors with an average cost of 0.015-0.02 may have just been realizing an excellent short term profit.
