I will believe some seeds need heat to crack them or split pods of seeds but also require the smoke and/or ash to assist any chances of germination. But you need fire and heat for ash.
Michinyon. Agree with your statement, but are the species native to that area, and for the sake of a species in minority in the area i would burn if the general vegetation is the kind that dictates this.
