The way global demand is steadily growing, unless there is a dramatic change to the way we pull the oil out of the ground, in a few short years we simply will not be able to produce enough, no matter how much is found.
As bad as the sentiment is in the markets, the basics of supply and demand will never change.
In light of this, the increase in the price of oil is not a matter of if, but really just trying to pick when.
