Gramazio Kohler is a research arm of ETH Zurich, this isn't a company. They're looking at advanced construction automation. The robot they're using is just a KUKA industrial 6 axis that can carry huge payloads, why on earth would they use such a big arm to carry a brick. FBR originally started with a 6 axis I'm pretty sure, they realised it wasn't an ideal application and would need to develop their own technique.
There are plenty of interesting robotic research labs both here in Aus and abroad that are looking at future applications in the industry, beyond getting a robot to lay a brick, which is pretty simple to achieve, but hard to master. Not particularly interesting for universities to develop bricklaying robots as it isn't really advancing current thinking.
