The real question is what do the bots do other than give their owners market information that is not otherwise available??
They cost money to run so that has to be repaid by information to control / influence the markets obviously for their owners
They are not there as a free public service they are there to serve their owners to the disadvantage of generally smaller public investors
Bots do not in anyway contribute to a better free market and so should be banned GTLAH
