Geelong– Australian law firm Fuse Advisory has advised US based investment group, LDA Capital, on its A$29 million put option equity funding agreement with ASX listed AI technology company, BrainChip Holdings Limited.
LDA is an alternative investment group with expertise in complex, cross border transactions. The firm is led by an energetic, collaborative core leadership team with a proven track record of successful partnerships, business building, theme development, sourcing, and investment and risk management.
BrainChip (ASX: BRN) is a global technology company that is producing a groundbreaking neuromorphic processor that brings artificial intelligence to the edge in a way that is beyond the capabilities of other products. The chip is high performance, small, ultra-low power and enables a wide array of edge capabilities that include on-chip training, learning and inference.
The Fuse Advisory team was led by its Principal Lawyer, Chris Burrell.
Burrell said “We are very excited to have been able to assist the team at LDA Capital on this project and with the expansion of their services into the Australian listed market.”
Fuse Advisory has previously advised LDA Capital on two other put option funding agreements with ASX listed entities Getswift Limited (US$45 million facility) and Altura Mining Limited (A$50 million facility).

Maddocks has advised ASX-listed global AI technology company Brainchip Holdings Limited on its agreement with a United States-based investment group to access up to A$29 million in new financing.
The put option agreement will see investment group LDA Capital provide up to A$29 million of committed equity capital to Brainchip over the next 12 months, with the option for it to be extended for a further 12 months. The capital will be applied towards the commercialisation of Brainchip’s ground breaking Akida artificial intelligence technology.
The Maddocks team on the matter was partner Catherine Merity and special counsel Rosamond Sayer.
This is the second time in 12 months that the firm has advised Brainchip on a capital raising. In 2019, Maddocks advised the company on its A$6.7 million capital raising by way of an accelerated non-renounceable entitlement offer and on a US$2.565 million convertible note investment.
