Good observations but let's not get the latest drill results cloud the bigger picture.
The high grade Grace hits are mostly adjacent to the Greenstone/Granite interface.
The original Youanmi mine is also positioned near the interface and we see this again at the Youanmi Deeps (fig 2).
Grace is a high grade substantial resource estimated to be 300,000K oz au +.
The Super pit concept is perfect for mining this shear zone resource.
As has been pointed out on this thread the exciting news today is the visible gold in some diamond drilling cores. That's one of the advantages of DD, the geos get a core to analyse. Visible gold is 30g/t + and although we don't know the intersections this is exciting.
It seems likely that there is a deeper Grace mineralisation with bonanza grade gold.
We know that gold occurs at all depths at Youanmi. The Deeps (pictured) is hundreds of metres down at the bottom of the main pit and open at depth.
The Youanmi mine produced 667,000 oz of gold and a Grace extension at depth will substantially add to the Grace JORC.
