I consider it a good contrarian indicator.
People who don't hold come here for a reason - its not to sell, so it becomes pretty transparent they just want to buy.
Its not human nature to waste your time on something if you have no vested interest, especially when it comes to stocks.
I've learned over the years thats how hot copper works. Learnt it the hard way!
I used to buy when everyone was excited, and sell when things looked bad. Couldn't figure out why everything turned against me and i kept losing money when I was just following what everyone said.
Now I buy when things are cheap and sell when everyone is exicted.... it works out much better!
Rothschild said it best "Buy when there's blood in the streets, even if the blood is your own." Thats how the rich get rich.
