Our views are highly dependant on our world views and belief systems and what we believe means we do act according to our presuppositions, although not always consistently.

What you believe influences how you think about these issues.

Some of the points made require a new thread to address, such as comments re the God of the old testament etc. so we are getting further away from the point of the original thread.

I do think the title of this thread was a bit whacky though but we got off on a tsangent on to ethical athiests and from there the thread moved.

Still I have enjoyed people's posts and it is always good to hear peoples contrary views.
