The initial suggestion was if people don't like the ABC being the taxpayer funded Propaganda Machine of the ALP/Greens then too bad just "tune out".
If you don't get the relevance of the first proposition, then clearly it must be lost on you that the system can't work if One Side of Politics is funded from the Public Purse and the Other Side isn't.
As you quite rightly point out:
"By that inference, people could opt in and out of anything and everything that consolidated revenue goes into. It won't work. Hey, let's make tax voluntary!"
Yes it doesn't work and the notion that the ALPBC should be handed well over a $Billion each year to distort reality is part and parcel of your statement.
