I find this bit the most amusing .....

This is a class action on behalf of persons and entities that purchased or otherwise acquired Mesoblast securities between April 16, 2019 and October 1, 2020

Anyone taking 10 minutes to look through the trade history will soon see that the share price on the ASX for most of this period was well below the $3.37 it closed at on Friday ? LMAO

For example;

If I bought shares on 1 November, 2019 I would have paid no more than $1.80 .... imagine being able to sue a company for only making $1.57 per share or almost 88% profit since ?

OR

If I bought shares on 6 January, 2020 I would have paid no more than $2.17 ..... so again imagine being able to sue a company for only making $1.20 per share or 55% profit in 10 months ?

Perhaps the court document is wrong and they meant from April 2020 but again even that would show that you could have bought shares in April 2020 for as low as $1.315 during that month so again, imagine being able to sue a listed company because you only made $2.16 or 165% profit ... LMAO

Note: these amounts are calculated of the ASX share prices but the MESO share prices after the fx conversion work out to similar percentages during the same time frame.


I see a new CA almost every other day on the ASX and in the USA .... IMO it has reached the point of ridiculousness but sadly seems to be just another part of the sharemarket these days and a way for lawyers to try and make a name for themselves and/or make $ .....
