Yes religions are man-made. All of the religions started when one person made a breakthrough spiritually, then tried to pass this on to others. The Bible is just one example of this. Most religions have been perverted - that's obvious, but you can't stop there. For an average joe, really understanding what jesus or muhammed or buddha was getting at is too much for their minds to grasp, so they try to interpret it using their egos and it ends up a complete mess. Religions were created as a way of trying to come to terms with what great spiritual masters had accomplished. Religions should be about spirituality at their core.
