The penalty payment is “small” and wouldn’t stand in the way of another bidder, said Evy Hambro, a managing director at BlackRock Investment Management Ltd. in London.

“I’d be surprised if there wasn’t additional interest in Prominent Hill now that a valuation has been released to the market,” Hambro, who helps manage the $5.2 billion World Mining Fund, said in a phone interview from London.
