Flats, good observations. On that point about Al Gore showing the long term trends in CO2 and temperature to "prove" his argument about global warming has and is being caused by CO2, has he ever retracted it and apologised? As it turns out he displayed them so it made the appearance that was so, but in fact the original data show the opposite to be the case. If he hasn't then he is covering up the truth and I'm amazed that anyone still listens to him.
On the subject of climate change predominantly being caused by man, the jury is still out. Of course we must have some impact, but the question is how much? So, we have to be careful about how we react to the events we see around the globe. We could in fact make things worse, not better. It would be like tinkering with a nuclear bomb trying to disarm it but not sure where to start.
