If CHK would have attracted a JV partner for the 80% then of course OD couldn't match the 20%. Therefore they would have to find a source of funds. Unlikely that the CHK partner would be happy with another miner supporting OD. So, in everyone's best interest it would be to find a partner / buyer for the combined JV. Guess that should have been the understanding / plan from the beginning and especially after BHP's first round of results 2 years ago.
