- Recent drilling at Alta Zinc's (AZI) Gorno silver-lead-zinc project in Italy has returned positive results, widening the known mineralised corridor at Pian Bracca
- Results peaked at 9.7 per cent zinc, 3.0 per cent lead and 54 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from a depth of 79 metres across a 5.9-metre interval
- Further drilling was originally planned to continue exploring the area to the west between the Pian Bracca and Ponente prospects
- Based on the new results, Alta Zinc will instead mobilise a second rig to the site to expedite drilling across the new southern corridor
- Alta Zinc is trading 10 per cent higher at 0.5 cents
