So what things need to be considered when trying to "predict" the future SP using the calculation methodLet's consider the last one.
- resource estimate
- cost of extraction
- gold price AND gold futures
- total number of securities on issue
There are currently around 1.3B shares if including un-exercised options.
But 3 or 4 years down the track we would of most likely had several more capitol raising's as well as quite a few more options and performance rights.
It wouldn't be unreasonable to assume that there will be 2 Billion securities in play, maybe even a lot more.
Whatever figure you come up with for any future market cap, the SP will need to be adjusted for extra securities that will likely be on the register.
.
It's all a bit of fun and I enjoy seeing some of the calculations and reasoning that different posters come up with.
The main thing is, don't give your holdings away cheaply.
Thursday is the always the unofficial start of my weekend, so cheers one and all
