Yes they may come up with a process that rejects the U & Th, and a way to bury it without it leaching out ~ would not hold my breath on that !
You do realize that the only reason that they could legally call this "Ore" is that the Resource was estimated in late 2011; at which time the Prices for Rare Earths were 10 times higher than today's prices ?
Under today's Prices, most of this 'Ore' would have to be classified as 'marginal' or 'waste/overburden' as @ $3/t it is unlikely to cover its Mining AND Processing cost ~ So Amigo, I sure hope the deeper stuff is of a significantly high grade, as looks like it may have to support a high Strip Ratio ? IMO You might have hit on a solution, ie try to find a High grade lower tonnage source to this extensive lateral deposit ?
