This is my view, as I have no way to verify who bought or sold today. If we see a Change of Holding ann by early next week, it will confirm either theory...
Overall, weakness in SP levels due to still awaiting AT1 variety of news + US market fall impact (small levels)...this might have naturally brought SP down a few pips...but not down to 0.315 all in 1 day n not for 15m shares worth sell/buy qty.
So, in addition to above, pick ur fav theory below l:
a) someone or bunch of someones wanted to accummulate fair amt of shares. They traded down the share price on smaller purchases till the 0.315-0.325 levels, then steadily bought majority of shares. Along the way other folks (me included) also jumped in to pickup more bargain price shares.
b) This is the one I believe more likely, seing the very steady selling pattern since morning, all day long, with peaks from lunchtime till close. The 19m voluntary escrow shares were being sold today (14m+ traded)...not all but a fair bit of 14m. They sold down the SP in steady trades till it found a good buy line/bottom and then kept selling into it all afternoon long (0.33-0.325 which I saw renewed almost completely 200-300k shares 5-6times from 1.30pm). Along the way they also managed to shift 6.8m in a single large S3XT trade for 0.315 (only possible since SP came down to 'a good buy' level by lunchtime. Along the way, other holders might also have leveraged down/sold in fear of losing too much (est 1m avg of these). So, on Monday, we might see more escrow shares sold off or not...depending on their intention.
