The responses and debate in the link are fairly clear and its all coming down to a bureaucratic pedantic processof the FDA and in so doing creating a sense of their own self worth. …Ego.
Often incompany structures the company board etc don’t get stale or not prone to corruption- they have a fix termfor a chairman etc. Think the FDA need to be sabbatical refresher course… ie agood hard look at themself. ( in saying that I could image it would be easy toget into a rut in a pressure job that one has been doing for a long time - suffered it myself)
