kat, it's nothing technical I'm pretty sure of that (having done technical to death with my charts).
It all comes down to your psychology - belief that you'll pick winners, getting in the zone.
TA can be useful to a point. Fundamentals play no part.
Unfortunately, when you ask successful people how they did something, they usually have no idea and so the answer will be (unintentioanlly) misleading. They will tell you it's momentum or breaking news or interest rates or whatever because they actually believe that. But it's a much more subtle process that goes on behind closed doors in their subconscious. I know this because I will occasionally experience the 'flow' myself....you know, getting in the zone...when everything you pick goes up.
