Asking advice and getting a "safe, well intentioned" answer can be off putting and costly. In 1969 my broker advised me to "Keep my powder dry, I've seen them come bask as quickly as they've gone up". This when I phoned to buy a minimum parcel ($200) of Poseidon at $ 1.10. I did buy a parcel at $100 and I still have the script. I went overseas in 1970 for the whole year Red … to London!! I should have ignored my broker, bought at $1.10 and a short time later, before I sailed , instead of buying, I should have gone to Rome, instead. An all expenses paid trip. The other parallel I can draw is that I bought a parcel of Carr Boyd shares as well. Who says history doesn't repeat?? Question: is there something big brewing at Estrella or might my brokers advice ring true. Punters know one cannot get on after the race!! My advice woll is simple... every portfolio should apportion a small percentage to risky ventures. If you have a belief or hunch about a stock, invest what you can afford to lose and most importantly, plan an exit strategy.
