In regards to the Android app, I'm a developer myself (and maybe you are too) and just because they aren't releasing an Android app out of the gates it doesn't mean that it isn't "almost ready". Each platform has differences which need to be accounted for. They probably want to hit the ground running with the minimum viable product. Their target demographic probably slightly leans to Apple so that might explain why they are starting with that. By the way, I'm an Android user myself.
