I agree with that ... i think it's all about getting the first drug off the line, out of the lab and into humans .... after 20 years it is still "new" ... first in human is the watershed moment ... if you can show that lead candidate works in humans and without safety issues then any other candidates behind it will be given a much higher valuation and likelihood of success - lining up a long string of future potential drugs is nice to look at it but all the weight comes through that first drug imo
