I've taken your reasoning seriously and checked out the stats. If you have any other stats or info to back you up as to shorting being significant in moving CER, I'd love to see them. The reports attached show gross short sales, not the position at the end of the day, but the total number throughout the day. On 20/2 there were 23,576 shares short sold out of 12852227 share sales, and the price tanked. On 19/2 share price also tanked and there were 6,610 short sold shares out of 7,197,955 share sales. I think CER short selling is negligible at about 0.15% of turnover for these two down days.
