Just from reading the synopsis of that whole corridor/region it seems that regardless of the close to surface geology, it is about the original sulphide intrusions around the time of the split of Rodinia, if you accept the workings of Prof Collerson. Whether they rose into granites or dolomites, we know that SA has some of the largest concentrations of copper in particular, globally, and there is a good chance that tje target has a lot of mineral wealth. Nearly there....should be drilling in the next day or two if not already.
