Merchant Banker B while cutting his own line says I'll have some of that at $6.90 when you get it.

They agree the deal and Merchant banker B gets on to his dealing desk telling them to short Zip at higher prices.
Not saying that's what happened here but I witnessed it many times in the UK .
Its just horse trading, you guys put to much faith in institutions actions.
Sometimes they won't even have a clue about the company whose stock their dealing .
