DLE produces 30% of all lithium today. Livant use it expensively. The plant is well understood. Standard Lithium just started operations. HATCH advised standard and have buit many plants. They are advising VUL.
The only issue is the processing needs to be tweeked to the Brine. DLE has been used in brine from old oil wells. It is the way forward.
Most people who negate DLE are old school. Who are heavily invested in hard rock. So they have no interest in pushing brine.
The same guys said they had no idea how Europe will get its Lithium. Not much of an expert me thinks.
