anyone got any info on the epa outcome, page-12

I have a friend working for the Queensland ports authority as one of their most senior environment assessors. This person is gobsmacked by the WA process. I paraphrase here;
"It is ridiculous the wy they do things in WA. Here, if you have a port, we prefer to expand upon the existing port as it contains the disturbance to one area. Basically, it means you totally root one place but everything else is left unscathed. In sandgroper land, they like to approve ten or twenty smaller ports which don't impact the environment quite so much, so you end up with protracted pissy little projects everywhere and everything ends up half munted."

Going by this assessment, there must be some EPA hullabaloo because AXO is proposing to use an existing pipeline route. Too much disturbane of one infrastructure corridor versus spreading the damage farther and wider. I bet Schaus thought he was being smart and responsible by suggesting he use the existing pipeline route. Little did he know he was up against the largest bunch of dunderheads ever to roam the planet unfettered.

The minister probably hasn't signed anything because under Colin barnett's 3% efficiency drive she's had to cut back on pen ink by 3% and can't afford to sign anything.
