"Whilst the PFS strategy is to process onsite and ship a high grade concentrate, the
new study, which will form part of the DFS, will investigate the feasibility of the
downstream processing of 50,000 tonnes per annum of concentrate into an NdPr–
rich rare earth carbonate for export. This would enable the Company to add
increased value in Angola. Preliminary discussions with potential customers and
major trading houses have indicated that customers in China, Japan, Korea,
Germany and the UK may be interested in importing a high grade carbonate
product from the Company."
That would make my post https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/47887695/single nearly valid,
corrected to 50,000*.335= 16700 tpa NdPr.
as was the post about the news of concentrate percentage should be made when available before the bfs, was validated.
But this would infer increasing mining input from 1.5 /2 mtpa to 8mtpa /10.7mtpa
Is this possible to mine that amount for the extra 50 mill spend????
From pfs;
*TREO = total rare earth oxides, the sum of La2O3, CeO2, Pr6O11, Nd2O3, Sm2O3, Eu2O3, Gd2O3,
Tb4O7, Dy2O3, Ho2O3, Er2O3, Tm2O3, Yb2O3, Lu2O3, Y2O3
*NdPr = Neodymium + praseodymium oxide and is included within TREO
NdPr is expected to represent approximately 91% of the potential value of the concentrate
