Obama is giving a major speech to Congress after the market closes tonight (US time). Will be interesting as I believe he is about to change his tone from - "its gonna get worse before it gets better thanks to the last guy" to "look what we've got to look forward to now you signed the cheque for the stimulus". Shame its after market close but I guess the futures will track the response to some degree. Previous Obama events have been ramped up prior to the event and sold-off, perhaps the opposite here.
That may support a late rally in the Dow and potentially a strong opening tomorrow night. Also he will announce the budget prior to NYSE trading Thursday.
