The Dow is dumping because the Wall st. traders are fearful of the banks being nationalised. The Yankies can see the reds under the beds. Their free market capitalism has just fallen over. The Government has stepped in and tried to help them out but the market instead of accepting the hand out has turned turtle. Now the Government has no other choice but to buy into the banks.
The sooner we (ASX) decouple from this drowning elephant (US) the better.
